Conference Schedule and
Budgeting Information
I would
like to thank the entire vendor
community for continuing to
support our organization. For
those not familiar with our
organization, I refer you to our
website
http://www.nyslgitda.org/ .
We typically get 60 – 80 local
government and state agency CIOs
and senior IT staff to attend
our conferences.
We send out
a letter announcing the
opportunity to sign up to
participate in our conferences
usually in January and July.
All vendor participation is
limited and on a first come
basis.
The vendor
participation part of our Spring
Conferences starts with a Meet
and Greet Social on Wednesday at
around 5pm followed by dinner (2
representatives per booth can
attend). The vendor fair (10x10
pipe and draped booths for 70
vendors – 4 representatives are
allowed per booth) begins on
Thursday morning ending around
2pm. Note that during the
vendor fair there are no
competing events, all attendees
attend the fair. We also have a
small number of vendor
presentation opportunities.
The vendor
part of our Fall Conferences
(typically limited to 60 vendors
– one attendee per vendor) are
on Thursdays and consists of a
Meet and Greet Social with a
scheduled event targeted at
creating communications and
relationships between the
attendees. The event includes
dinner and normally lasts a
total of about 6 hours.
The
following is our conference
schedule as well as some
budgeting information:
Spring 2007
– Saratoga Springs – May 30 and
31 – anticipated $1,300
Fall 2007 –
Corning – October 11 –
anticipated $700
Spring 2008
– Saratoga Springs – May 7 and 8
– anticipated $1,400
Fall 2008 –
Syracuse – October – anticipated
$750
Spring 2009
– Saratoga Springs – May 20 and
21 – anticipated $1,500
The
purpose of our vendor events is
to not only generate funds to
offset the cost of the event for
the local government attendees
but to provide a forum for the
attendees to see the latest
technology that relates to their
ability to better support their
customers.
